SuperSearch for GoldMine™ allows a GoldMine User to search for Contacts in BOTH the Main Contacts Area of GoldMine AND the Contacts Tab area of GoldMine at the SAME TIME using ANY portion of the name !!

SuperSearch for GoldMine™ was developed by the technicians at Computer Control Corporation to solve a problem that has plagued GoldMine users for years -- the inability to search for both primary and additional contacts at the same time. You could search for Primaries or for Additionals but not for BOTH AT THE SAME TIME -- that is until SuperSearch! The Results Window (see screenshot below) shows you if the Contact Type is Primary or Additional, so you'll know where to look when you move to that record in GoldMine.

Included in GoldMine Version 6 are some new, very powerful eMarketing capabilities. Coincidentally, there are some important decisions to be made setting up your GoldMine to take full advantage of these eMarketing capabilities.

The purpose of this one-day workshop is to identify the new eMarketing features in Version 6, and give you the skills to take optimal advantage of them. Several very handy pieces of eMarketing development software will be included, along with a good deal of "hands-on" development time.

Topics include:

  • Optimizing your GoldMine for eMarketing
  • Processing Web form requests
  • Creating HTML Templates
  • Defining your recipients
  • Rules of the Road
  • Performing the e-mail merge
  • Increasing response rate (best practices)
  • Processing the responses
  • GoldMine E-mail Rules

A Word From The President

Why Host Your Own Data When You Can Take Advantage Of ASP Technology?

It's becoming harder and harder to ignore the Internet. None of us can live without e-mail, at least some occasional web surfing and, of course, my personal favorite, eBay. The CRM industry did its best to ignore the growing trend of outsourcing the hosting of the data and accessing that data via the Internet. The time has come for all of us to understand when it is and is not appropriate to consider a hosted solution.

Hosted (or ASP) solutions are appearing everywhere. Salesforce.com, Salesnet, NetLedger, Sage CRM, UpShot, ... Almost every mature CRM vendor that originally developed a client/server application before the Internet became such a force, is now developing or talking about developing an Internet based solution. Well, maybe not all of them.

We can't wait any longer. Too many of you are telling us it's time to take that quantum leap. And, we've heard you. We have scoured the world for the best of the ASP solutions. So, if you find yourself with:

  • a team that isn't always physically connected to the server
  • with a need to access your data from a wireless PDA
  • or to smoothly integrate with Outlook or a mid-market accounting solution
  • an IT staff that doesn't need any more software to support or has a limited budget
  • a serious need to get up and running quickly (literally in minutes)...

...then it's time to consider an Internet-based, hosted solution. It's like renting the software instead of buying it. It's like renting a team of geeks instead of hiring them. It's like letting someone else worry about the care and feeding of the system so your guys can just go sell things. Hmmm. Sounds like a plan to me. Check out the information we are providing below regarding Salesnet. It's the first of the ASP systems we are taking on. It's a brave new work.

CCC Partners with SalesNet !!

You're only as good as your last deal. Salesnet is the award-winning, patent-pending, process-centric Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solution that keeps your entire team on track.

Salesnet has always believed in the power of process and we've made it the cornerstone of everything we do. We've created and host CRM software that has helped companies turn process into profit and achieve as much as 60% increases in profits. We can help you too.

Here are some other things you should know about Salesnet's solution:

Hosted Model -- You don't need an IT team to support it, there's no expensive hardware to purchase and it takes days/weeks to get up and running, not months or years. And if you need help defining your business processes, we have professional services that can get you there fast.

Fully Adaptable -- It is designed to be the most flexible CRM system on the market, easily adapting to the way you sell. It uses fully customizable workflows and for today’s real-time enterprise, access is available offline, online, and via an array of mobile tools so your team can always work on the fly, even directly from client meetings.

Built to Grow -- It is the system you grow into, not out of. Salesnet offers an easy-to-use interface with deep functionality that is fully customizable to continually meet unique business needs. We also implement new capabilities every 60 to 90 days, which is faster than any other CRM vendor.   The Referral Plan

Several years ago we had a client referral plan that worked rather well, but was an administrative problem at times. We are now re-instituting this plan with a little help from our technology.

Any client in good standing can send us a referral. If we close some business with this new client, you are entitled to 5% of the initial order. You can opt for one of several payment methods.

How to send us a referral:

  1. there is a referral form on our website that you can fill out and submit (this is the best way)
  2. a referral can be e-mailed to us at sales@ccc24k.com
  3. a referral can be phoned in or relayed in person to Joel Scott at 860-529-6232

Your options for being paid:
We only pay referral fees once we close the initial business and get paid ourselves. Once that happens you will receive payment in the one of the following ways (at your option):

  1. Direct payment to your company
  2. Direct payment to you personally
  3. A credit applied to your account with us
  4. A credit to the company you referred
  5. No fee required.

Resolution of Potential Problems:

  1. Sometimes more than one client refers us to the same business. When this happens, the first person (company) that sent in the referral gets the fee. Occasionally we split it. We decide.
  2. Sometimes we get a referral to a company with whom we are already working. In this case no fee is paid. Sorry.
  3. If the initial business is under $100, we do not pay a fee. Send us bigger leads!

The average referral fee is around $400. We would like you to get as many of these as possible. It helps us and presumably works for you as well.

  Tech-Talk

Please be aware that FrontRange has conducted preliminary testing of the GoldMine Link to Word using Word 2003 (Beta) and the current results are not positive.

If you are a Microsoft Beta site and are upgrading to Word 2003 Beta, you need to be aware that the GoldMine Link to Word functionality will no longer be available to you.

FrontRange plans to support Word 2003 in the future, however, please be advised that support for this version may not become available until after Word 2003 is released to the general public.

If you are planning on upgrading at its release time, and rely on the GoldMine Link to Word for your business processes, we strongly encourage you to contact the FrontRange Tech Support team via phone to check the compatibility status prior to upgrading.

Follow this link to learn more about new features in GoldMine 6.0.

We Wander the

We wander the Web to identify very helpful (and sometimes, very esoteric) websites.

1. A Great CRM Resource

Customer Management and Advice, a great portal to interviews and articles with and by industry experts.Select from Community, Marketplace, News and Comment. Well laid out and chock full of good, contemporary CRM information.

http://crm.insightexec.com/

2. Cheap CD's
Don't swipe music! There are a lot of musician's out there struggling to make a living by making great music. They deserve our support. Enough soapbox -- this site has a great library, is easy to search, and the prices are very competitive. Feed a musician, buy a CD.

Reminder - Hardware Services

Did you know Computer Control Corporation does hardware and networking?  Keep us in mind when purchasing or servicing computers, printers, or networks for your company.

Corey Constantine, our new hardware tech, is developing an Asset Tracking Program that we'll be offering to our clients very soon. Basically, we'll do a detailed inventory of your network. The program stores detailed info on servers, workstations, printers, other peripherals and software. Our techs will run a report based on the inventory and provide you with a complete system analysis. Could your server use a memory upgrade? Got a printer that has an outdated driver? Running version 3.2 of a software application that's now up to version 6.4? The analysis will help you easily allocate budget resources where they're needed most.

Contact Corey for more information.

The New LeaDS Management System

We know every lead your company generates is precious. But the people who generate or distribute leads are usually not the people who close the deals. Yet, it’s important to manage the entire process from lead acquisition to winning the deal. Where is your Lead tracking breaking down?

Capturing?
Entering data consistently, regardless of the source.
Assigning?
Handing off each new lead to the most appropriate account manager.
Notifying?
Communicating efficiently with your prospects and sales organization.
Monitoring?
Polling the leads database automatically for pre-defined milestones.
Escalating?
Alerting management to unresolved milestones.
Reporting?
Analyzing sales pipelines and timelines throughout the sales cycle.

LeaDS is a lead distribution and management system integrated with GoldMine. For an overview of what LeaDS is and how it works, click here.
