The
New LeaDS Management System
We know every lead
your company generates is precious.
But the people who generate or distribute leads are usually not the
people who close the deals. Yet, it’s important to manage the
entire process from lead acquisition to winning the deal. Where is your
Lead tracking breaking down?
Capturing? |
Entering
data consistently, regardless of the source. |
Assigning? |
Handing
off each new lead to the most appropriate account manager. |
Notifying? |
Communicating
efficiently with your prospects and sales organization. |
Monitoring? |
Polling
the leads database automatically for pre-defined milestones. |
Escalating? |
Alerting
management to unresolved milestones. |
Reporting? |
Analyzing
sales pipelines and timelines throughout the sales cycle. |

Included in GoldMine
Version 6 are some new, very powerful eMarketing capabilities. Coincidentally,
there are some important decisions to be made setting up your GoldMine
to take full advantage of these eMarketing capabilities.
The purpose of
this two-day workshop is to identify the new eMarketing features
in Version 6, and give you the
skills to take optimal advantage of them.
Several very handy pieces of eMarketing development software will be included,
along with a good deal of "hands-on" development time.
Topics include:
- Optimizing your
GoldMine for eMarketing
- Processing
Web form requests
- Creating HTML Templates
- Creating Adobe PDF documents
- Defining your recipients
- Rules of the
Road
- Performing the
e-mail merge
- Increasing response
rate (best practices)
- Processing the
responses
- GoldMine E-mail
Rules

Can
We Take You Out to a Ballgame?
One
of our higher profile local clients is the New Britain Rock Cats baseball
team. We’ve
been developing a GoldMine-based system for their front office. In
return we requested tickets,
money and a first round draft choice. So, we now have the tickets (we
already spent the money).
Box
seats for four people right near the home team dugout. We have several
available dates, both weekdays and weekends. If you’re interested
in seeing some up-and-coming stars, the tickets are FREE to you,
compliments
of CCC and The Rock Cats. You’ll
have to buy your own hot dogs.
Just call us and ask for
Joel or Mike. We’ll let you know what
dates are still available

The
Referral Plan
Several
years ago we had a client referral plan that worked rather well,
but was an administrative problem at times. We are now re-instituting
this plan with a little help from our technology.
Any client in good standing can send us a referral. If we close some
business with this new client, you are entitled to 5% of the initial
order. You can opt for one of several payment methods.
How to send us a referral:
- there
is a referral form on our website that
you can fill out and submit (this is the best way)
- a referral
can be e-mailed to us at sales@ccc24k.com
- a referral
can be phoned in or relayed in person to Joel Scott at 860-529-6232
Your options for being paid:
We only pay
referral fees once we close the initial business and get paid ourselves.
Once that happens you will receive payment in the one
of the following ways (at your option):
- Direct payment
to your company
- Direct payment
to you personally
- A credit applied
to your account with us
- A credit to
the company you referred
- No fee required.
Resolution of Potential Problems:
- Sometimes
more than one client refers us to the same business. When this happens,
the first person (company) that sent in the referral
gets the fee. Occasionally we split it. We decide.
- Sometimes
we get a referral to a company with whom we are already working.
In this case no fee is paid. Sorry.
- If the initial
business is under $100, we do not pay a fee. Send bigger leads.
The average referral fee is around $400. We would like you to get
as many of these as possible. It helps us and presumably works for
you as well.

Tech-Talk
The
word from the field is good. Users are taking advantage of
GoldMine 6's great new features. But, as with any major upgrade,
there are a few things to be aware of. We polled our techs
for some cool new features. We also got a couple of issues
to be aware of.
First
and foremost, make sure you're running Internet Explorer 6.0 or
later. The HTML formatting functionality in GoldMine
6 only works in conjunction with IE 6. An earlier version of the browser
will not allow you to add notes to any
activity and wreaks havoc with e-mail. Call us if you have a question.
On
the plus side, the new Contact Search Center, with its ability to
build filters on the fly and display the results in
the Search Center window is great. In addition, the option to
add and re-position any field you desire in the contact listing window
is really
useful.
Probably
the glitziest new feature is the GM+View Tab. Within this tab you
can display any website (not a link to the site,
the actual site content). So, a real estate firm could have contact
records for various properties and build a picture database so, when
you are on the record of the 12-room Colonial on 123 Elm Street, the
GM+View could show pictures of that property. Go to another property
record, see a picture.
We
think the slickest application for GM+View is to have a live
"copy" of Mapquest displayed
under the tab. When you're on a record and click the tab, Mapquest
initiates a search to the address of the active contact and maps
out a route from a "home" address you pre-set. Mapquest (from within
the GM+View Tab) displays a
line-by-line
set of directions, road map, distance and estimated travel time.
Click on the print option and you're good to go. This is COOL! We've
got
it
working, contact us for more info. Follow
this link to learn more about new features in GoldMine 6.0.

We
Wander the
We wander the Web to identify very helpful (and sometimes, very esoteric)
websites.
1. Our Favorite Email Checker: Mailwasher
MailWasher is a powerful email checker with effective spam elimination.
No gimmicks here, it is so easy to set up and use that you'll be managing
your email like a pro in seconds. It can even be used as an effective
privacy tool.
* Bounce back unwanted e-mails so it looks as if your email address
is not valid.
* Delete unwanted e-mails before you download them. You'll be able
to see who the email is from, the subject, and the attachment.
* Status. MailWasher analyses each email as it arrives and warns you
if it is suspected junk mail or a virus by heuristic checking and filtering.
* Blacklist. Any e-mails you bounce back get their senders details
put on the blacklist for easy removal if they come back.
* Friends List. Add your friends email addresses to MailWasher and
they will always be recognized.
* Preview. You can preview the message in your email to see what the
sender has to say before downloading it.
* Filtering. Effective filtering to automatically spot spam, plus it
uses a customizable list of blacklisted e-mail senders and/or regular
expressions to filter out potential spammer addresses and messages.
* Unlimited email accounts. You can have as many email accounts as
you want to check. Supports POP3 email accounts, MSN and Hotmail.
* Simplicity. No flashy gimmicks, so easy to use that you won't feel
like you have to learn a whole new program. In fact it has the familiar
look and feel of Outlook Express. It's as easy as 1,2,3. Just check
mail, mark for deletion/bounce, then process mail. Plus, MailWasher
is only one file, and it won't distribute loads of other files all
over your hard drive.
* It's free. That's right, you can keep on using this program and it
won't expire. You are offered the chance to register MailWasher and
pay a price you think it is worth.

Make sure
to click on the "Nick's Picks" button, you'll go to a list
of some very cool utilities
that might catch your fancy.
2.
It's Not Your Father's Yellow Pages
Switchboard.com is the Yellow Pages Electrified. At least that's what
it says on this web page. And it's true, not only yellow pages, there's
a white pages section, too. Type in a name (or company name), an
optional street address, state and click Search.

3.
Whose Number Is It Anyway?
Along the same lines as switchboard.com but in reverse, this handy
site id's the owner of any phone number.
